On Integration & Contrast
A Game for those who Seek to Find, a Way to leave Broke days Behind.
The Dice are Rolled, Cards are Laid,The One who Finishes will be Self-Made.
Today’s Riddle reveals one of my staple philosophies: Integration. Also, interpreted as Duality or Contrast. Concepts that are vital for Art Creation, Self-Actualization and well… the Creation of anything. Including our Real Estate Journey.
The Greeks alerted us on this topic with the birth of Greek Tragedy: the importance of the Dionysus & Apollos energy on stage. Nietzsche understood its importance in morals when he left us Beyond Good & Evil. Jung recognized that every good quality has a bad side and that nothing good can be created without creating it’s directly corresponding evil. We can even find records of the importance of contrast in the Bible: “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."
What scholars, artists, philosophers, teachers and scientists alike have discovered is that completeness comes from “Integration.” Wholeness. The refusal to discard what isn’t appealing but to accept and highlight what others would repel.
Silence & Sound.
At its core, contrast is the juxtaposition of opposites—light against dark, joy against sorrow, success against failure. It is through these differences that we are able to understand the nuances of life, find meaning in our experiences, and ultimately grow as individuals. One of the most profound aspects of contrast is its paradoxical nature. While we often think of opposites as entirely separate and conflicting, in reality, they are often two sides of the same coin.
A virgin Canvas is spotless. But it tells no Story. It is the soiling of the brushes and the paint, contrasting against the blank backdrop, that create art. It is the contrast between stillness and movement that creates Dance.
What we offer at House.Roc is an fully Integrated Learning Experience, where all of ourselves count. All our imperfections as buyers or sellers. The skill we borrowed from a different lifetime, or the talent we kept hidden for sheer embarrassment. Our penchant for arts & crafts or our lack of temper in the mornings. It all matters. it all counts.
Our Real Estate Journey cannot and should not be spotless. Wether our Credit Scores feel humiliating to us, or the Zeros in our savings account seem defeating. The comparisons to the next door neighbors and the naggin’ feeling we are the only ones left behind. Our inattention to detail or our inability to focus for more than 10 minutes.
IT ALL COUNTS.
Like strands of a braid or words in an essay, every aspect needs to be considered, Integrated and used as a stepping stone to our next moment, our next victory. Contrast is what makes the wheels spin. Keep moving…
