Today’s card reveals an indispensable tip: the Purpose of Life is to Grow. A topic we have been developing in our daily Stories @House.Roc.
Our Real Estate journey follows the same principle. The goal isn’t to be accepted. It isn’t to things “this way” or “that way”. It is not to impress or judge or force our impressions on others. It is not to compete with the neighbors. Is not for the prizes, the accolades or the awards. It’s not to have the best house on the block or the shiniest trophy on the mantle.
It is not to be the fastest or the slowest or the richest or brokest. There is no merit in any achievement other than personal growth.
In fact, the outcome will invariably change as we change as well. It is impossible to predict desirable outcomes with any accuracy. And achievements lose their sparkle after we reach them. The only thing that stays imprinted in our memory is: how hard it was. How much effort was expended and how much of ourselves did we give to the task.
How much did I grow? How much did I embarrass myself. How much did I cry, how much did I sweat? Those are our scars, our mementos of battle. The only true achievements.
WHO you become in the process replaces what can you buy and who you impress.
It’s the relationships you build as you walk. The hands you shake. The stories you tell…
Is who you end up forgiving for failing you, as you deal with your own failings and inadequacies. It’s the truth that transpires about your resilience and commitment to the goal. It’s the muscle you build.
It’s the brilliant moment you look yourself in the mirror and like what you see. It’s growing to respect yourself. To accept yourself.
The only command is to Grow. To plant deep roots and expand your fruitful branches. That is all.
The Real Estate Pursuit, in whatever capacity you are undertaking it, reveals you to yourself.
